Rainbow Row, located in Charleston, South Carolina, is one of the most iconic views associated with the city. The area, however, was not always so picturesque. In the years following the Civil War, much of Rainbow Row fell into disrepair and was considered a slum. It wasn’t until the early 1900s that efforts were made to revitalize the area.
